ECOWARMTH STORAGE HEATERS

A Different Option to Conventional Heating
For those customers wanting a heating solution that will save money and energy without massive refurbishments requirements, then an Ecowarmth Storage Heater could be the right option, when correctly installed by one of our electricians. They work well with other energy saving electrical installations provided by our electricians throughout the UK.
Ecowarmth Storage Heaters provide impressive energy saving opportunities for both domestic and commercial properties. Our electricians can provide more detail on the recent test results that show how economical they are as a heating source. The radiators work very efficiently and require less than 12 minutes of electricity in an hour to produce 60 minutes of warmth. As your electrician will confirm 20% of the heat you need is paid for by you and 80% of the heat is stored so it is FREE.
How Do They Work?
The Ecowarmth radiators operate in a different way to normal central heating systems. Here is an overview of the main differences with an Ecowarmth System:
- For conventional central heating systems, boilers are required for the purpose of heating water and in particular the radiators.
- With an Ecowarmth storage heater installation by a Mr Electric electrician the heating process is different. The Ecowarmth storage heater ribs are heated by specialist internal energy cells, with embedded heating elements.
- Upon switching the radiator on, your electrician will explain that the internal energy cells store as much heat as possible. Depending on the radiator you have installed by the Mr Electric electrician this could take about 10 - 20 minutes. The surplus heat radiates outwards and it begins to feel warm then hot.
- The ribs of the radiator allow even heating and a surplus of heat, which is radiated out into the room space. This as your electrician will explain is an intensive but comfortable heat that radiates over a wide angle.
- The radiant heat that your electrician will explain makes up approximately 90% of the heat output. This makes the Ecowarmth storage heater extremely effective in heating a room and the items within it.
- The Ecowarmth storage heater ribs are hollow and are full of air which makes them much like mini chimneys. Your electrician will explain that the chimney effect caused by this ribbed design produces convected heat. This heat removes cold air from the floor and creates the right mixture of convected and radiant heat.
- The electrician will confirm the heat is controlled by the ‘Ecowarmth Intelligent Thermostat’ to ensure greater energy savings and efficiency.
- The Intelligent Thermostat has a sensitive control system, which works in conjunction with an equally sensitive temperature controller for the floor.
- Your electrician will explain the initial warm-up phase of each room, which is approximately 1 - 2 hours. When the right room temperature is achieved, the thermostat switches automatically to "top-up mode". The Mr Electric electrician will show you how this mode provides "top-up heat" for the internal energy cells and extra heat for the specific area.
- For periods when less heat is required at night or when no one is present in the room the thermostat is reduced to a temperature of 15º C. Your electrician will explain how this heat is stored, so the heater uses less electricity until the thermostats temperature is changed.
- The Intelligent Thermostat and the floor temperature controller enable the Ecowarmth storage heater to produce an efficient and economically sound heating option.
