Fuseboard Replacements |

Does the photograph to the right look familiar to you? If the answer is yes then you are one of the many people who still have an old style fuseboard in your home. Mr. Electric recommends that you change your fuseboard for a new style consumer unit to provide better electrical safety in your home and to ensure your property is up to the current standards of the electrical regulations.
Mr. Electric will recommend a new style consumer unit with MCB’s (miniture circuit breakers) and with RCD’s (Residual Circuit Devices) is installed by our electricians and electrical contractors. These type of consumer units protect your socket circuits and will also allow safe use of outdoor appliances such as electric lawn mowers. RCD’s are capable of detecting very small changes in current. They disconnect equipment extremely quickly, thereby reducing the risk of a dangerous electrical shock. The advantages of a new consumer unit installation from Mr Electric:
The qualified Mr Electric electrician and electrical contractor must check all the cables and connections to the consumer unit. This can only be done by an electrician and electrical contractor who is qualified to Part P of the building regulations. Mr. Electric is qualified and you must also be aware that it is an offence to interfere with the seals on the electricity meter. Our electricians and electrical contractors will provide more information on our energy saving electrical installations which are provided throughout the UK via the local Mr Electric offices. |
