Wireless Energy Saving Switches are suitable for installation by our electricians in a wide range of places including new offices, refurbishments and when the customers decide it’s time to re-arrange the commercial space. The electrician may advise the use of Wireless Energy Saving Switches on glass partitions where wired devices are not suitable. They are also a convenient electrical installation by an electrician when chasing wires through walls is not possible.
In a variety of domestic scenarios, wireless energy saving switches are a good option. Electricians may suggest them for extensions or conservatories because a wired device does not suit the application. Portable locations, one off usage applications, park homes, caravans, exhibition stands and temporary buildings are all relevant locations for wireless switches where a fast, flexible solution is the right option. Our electricians will offer more suitable solutions for the application of wireless switches. How Wireless Switches Work
Wireless Switch lighting systems comprise of two main components, the self powered switch and an RF receiver. The electrician will install the receiver at the light fitting and is wired into to the lighting circuit when it is installed in the ceiling. The wireless switch is then installed by the electrician on the wall or similar area, using either adhesive pads or screws and raw plugs. The wireless switch is aligned to the receiver and linked to the dedicated light fitting in question. A receiver can be programmed in such a way so it is operated by up to 30 switches. Many receivers can be activated by a single switch so the installation by the Mr Electric electrician can be flexible to suit the customer’s needs. If a signal were to get obstructed by certain materials such as steel or other strong materials the electrician can install repeater units to divert and/ or extend transmissions around a set number of places in the building. The wireless switch is designed to work in conjunction with other well known switch and socket finishes, so it will not look out of place when the Mr Electric electrician installs them. They are available in one or two gang versions at present in a variety of finishes which your electrician will show you. There are no wires, no batteries and less hassle for you the customer when they are installed by a Mr Electric electrician. They are a significant change to the switching installed in commercial premises and provide many benefits to specifiers, electricians and facilities management companies. Whether it’s a fast installation you require or a specific type of flexible installation Mr Electric and their team of electricians can help.
